Last April 23-27, 2007, the Second ASEAN Heritage Parks Conference and the Fourth Regional Conference on Protected Areas in South East Asia was held. Over 200 participants attended the back-to-back conference. This conference brought together the heads of protected area management authorities, the international and local non-government organizations, and other protected area practitioner. This event is made possible through the collaboration of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, IUCN WCPA SEA, BirdLife International, Haribon Foundation and Sabah Parks,with funding support from the Regional Natural Heritage Programme under the Australian Government.
